The double room at Habarana New Star Homestay was amazing! It had a balcony where I could chill and soak up the stunning views. The room came with an electric kettle, which was so convenient for making my morning coffee. And the air conditioning was a lifesaver in the hot weather. I felt like I was in paradise!

The only thing I didn't love was that the balcony was a bit small. But hey, that's just my personal opinion.

Ideal location so close to nearby attractions, and the room was brand-new. Food for breakfast was outstanding. Our experience here was very pleasant, would stay here again...

Lovely place for trip. Warm welcome from host. Spacious modern bathroom. Great breakfast with fruits, and best and good staff. Ideal setting to the main crossroads. Plus just off Sigiriya, Dambulle and Polonnaruwa.

A useful base for sightseeing in Habarana. Exceptionally nice, incredible setting close enough to Pidurangala Rock, the main crossroads and lush greenery. Located near everything. Met needs well. Would recommend.

Dinner options could be improved

As a solo traveler, I loved the attentive and kind nature of the family running the homestay. They even picked me up from the bus stop! the location was perfect, nestled in a green and peaceful area, yet still close to the main road and bus stand for easy access to tourist sites like Dambulla, Sigiriya, and Polonnaruwa. the room was spacious and comfortable, and everything was impeccably clean. I enjoyed relaxing and working on the lovely terrace, and the food prepared by the host's wife was absolutely delicious. it was the best stay I had during my two weeks in Sri Lanka, and the value for money was excellent. Thank you!

Our stay at New Star Homestay was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They provided us with delicious and authentic Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinners, and even took us to a doctor when we needed one. They were always available to give us recommendations and help us plan our activities. The room was clean and cozy, and the balcony was a lovely spot to relax. we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this homestay.

One minor drawback was the lack of a mosquito net, which would have been a nice addition.

We got great value for our money at New Star Homestay. The room was adorable and clean, with lovely features like high ceilings and pretty balcony doors. The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of the village. The hosts, Lasantha and his wife, were incredibly friendly and treated us like family. They cooked delicious breakfast and dinner for us, and even provided us with coffee, tea, and fresh fruits. They also helped us with transportation and gave us great tips for our visit.

The staff is tremendous and good. The location is peaceful and magnificent, not far from the town centre.

The upstairs balcony was perfect for relaxation. Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious. Hosts were helpful with transport and tours. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great location surrounded by nature and local community.

I recently stayed at the charming New Star Homestay during my visit to the Sigiriya area. The family that runs the homestay was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. They served delicious local food for breakfast and dinner, and also offered reasonably priced tuk tuk trips to popular nearby attractions like Sigiriya and Dambulla. The room and the entire house were even more adorable than I expected, and the location in the heart of the village was perfect. my stay was excellent and I highly recommend this homestay.
